Mexican Tequila maker partners with Atlanta Baseball club
Camarena, a Mexican tequila producer, has entered into a partnership with Atlanta Braves, a major League Baseball club. This deal makes it the first 100% agave tequila to partner with the century-old baseball club.
Camarena director of marketing Gerard Thoukis said the company's partnership with the Atlanta Braves today, on the eve of the team's return to MLB home action at Turner Field, is a thrilling way to kick off the its official launch in Georgia this month.
"Known for their loyal fans and progressive, in-stadium technology and entertainment, the Atlanta Braves are a world-class organization whose partnership opportunities align with our key target consumers and localized marketing approach," Thoukis added
Atlanta Braves senior director of corporate sponsorships Jim Allen said the beginning of a new season is the perfect time to implement new and innovative improvements to the club fans' ballpark experience.
"Partnering with new and exciting brands like Familia Camarena Tequila, whose insistence on quality and a positive consumer experience reigns paramount, highlights our continual commitment to providing fans with a memorable and fun time at Turner Field," Allen said.
Introduced in limited markets in 2010, Familia Camarena Tequila officially launched in Georgia this month and is expanding distribution across the country.
Announcement of Familia Camarena Tequila's partnership with the Braves is expected to start with the announcements of marketing sponsorship agreements between Familia Camarena Tequila and five other high profile Major League Baseball clubs across the league.
Familia Camarena Tequila, in partnership with Alto Spirits, a domestic importer, will enter California and Nevada with both Silver and Reposado bottlings available in 50ml, 200ml, 750ml and 1.75l sizes. The suggested retail price of each variant in the 750ml size is $20.
